2010 Statewide Conference on Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing<\/strong><\/p>\n

During our conferences, outstanding leaders working with students who are
\ndeaf\/hard of hearing are recognized. More importantly, scholarships are
\ngiven to deserving students who are deaf\/hard of hearing from across the
\nstate. In recent years, scholarships have been given to Interpreters and
\nTeachers pursuing certificates and\/or degrees in the fields of Interpreting
\nand Deaf education.<\/p>\n

In 2010, the sponsoring agencies\/programs of the Statewide conference
\ninclude T.A.P.E.D., ESC\u2019s, R.D.S.P.D\u2019s, T.S.D. and DAR\u2019s. Representatives
\nfrom these agencies\/programs make up the Statewide Conference Planning
\ncommittee.<\/p>\n

The Statewide Conference planning committee has always been a TEAM to reckon
\nwith. Their commitment to this conference has continued throughout the years
\nand the excellence we have in deaf education in the state of Texas is due,
\nat least in part, to the excellence in staff development provided to
\nparents, educators, interpreters, and other stakeholders through the
\nStatewide Conference! We would like to thank our sponsors for their ongoing
\nsupport of this outstanding Conference!<\/p>\n

\nWorth, Texas at the Omni Hotel on July 22-July 24, 2010. This conference is
\nan incredible educational opportunity for parents and professionals working
\nwith children\/students who are deaf \/hard of hearing in our state! In 2010,
\nthe sponsoring agencies\/programs of the Statewide conference include the
\nTexas Association of Parents and Educators of the Deaf (T.A.P.E.D.),
\nEducation Service Centers (ESC\u2019s), Regional Day School Programs for the Deaf
\n(R.D.S.P.D\u2019s), Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) and the Texas Department of
\nAssistive and Rehabilitative Services\u00a0(DARS) division of services for the
\ndeaf.<\/p>\n
