STAR+PLUS Offers Medicaid Health Plan Choices to People with Disabilities and Older Persons. STAR+PLUS covers Nueces County, Aransas, Bee, Calhoun, Jims Wells, Kleberg, Refugio, San Patricio and Victoria Counties. The Area Agency on Aging of Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living are offering a series of public meetings to explain STAR+PLUS to persons with disabilities, older persons and other interested in the Nueces County Service Area and surrounding counties. STAR+PLUS is required for ALL Medicaid recipients ages 21 and over who receive SSI and live in a STAR+PLUS service area. If you are receving Community-Based Alternatives waiver (CBA) or are on the CBA Waiting List, you are required to enroll. Persons who get Medicaid because they are in a Social Security Exclusion Program must also enroll in STAR+PLUS and choose a health plan. The meetings are designed to help persons understand how to choose and enroll in a health plan under the STAR+PLUS Program. <\/p>\n

Interpreting Services will be provided.<\/p>\n
