Message from Dallas Deaf Club \u2013 August 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello to all members and friends of DAD<\/p>\n

I have been kept busy by trying to keep up with DAD. And before I realized
\nit, is August already! Yes, we will have more hot weather in which we will
\nhave to deal with. So let us all try to stay cool.<\/p>\n

Last July 24, I had wonderful time at the Summer Social Afternoon, which was
\nhosted by North Texas Deaf Senior Citizens (NTDSC) celebrating their second
\nyear. They served fried chicken, had many side dishes to choose from, and
\nalso many wonderful desserts. It gave us an opportunity to mingle as well as
\nto get to know more of the Deaf senior citizens. Good job NTDSC! Big
\nhands waving up.<\/p>\n

I regret to inform you that one of our members passed away, his name was
\nRobert Arnold. May he rest in peace and let us pray for his family.<\/p>\n

It is necessary to announce that Western Night, which Laura Moore, Mitch
\nBien and Jesse Carrizales are the co- hosts, is cancelled.<\/p>\n

If any of you are interested in becoming a Bar Manager at DAD, please do see
\nme and we will discuss the position’s duties.<\/p>\n

I need to inform you that Prime Time, Sign Time starting time will be at
\n8:00pm not 7:30pm on every first Friday each month. Please spread the words
\nto others who plan to attend on September 3rd.<\/p>\n

Here are some events for this month of August<\/p>\n

Friday, August 20, Black Sand movie, by ASL Film. Doors opens at 7:00pm and
\nthe movie starts at 8:00pm.<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 21, Black Sand movie, by ASL Film. Doors opens at 1:00pm
\nand the movie starts at 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Black Sand tickets will be available at DAD. Please see me.<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 21, CINGO game starts at 8:30pm. Ya’ll come and play!<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 28, General Meeting at 7:30pm.<\/p>\n

I would like to remind you that DAD has their own website.
\n http:\/\/www.dallasdeafclub.org<\/a> and anyone is able to check the website to
\ncheck about our upcoming events and social nights. Also if you desire to use
\nthe DAD’s meeting hall for your party, please contact me, either in person
