Disability Support Specialist-Sign Language Job<\/strong><\/p>\n

Texas Health Resources, one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health care
\ndelivery systems in the United States, has an immediate need for a
\nDisability Support Specialist.<\/p>\n

Basic Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/p>\n

Bachelor Degree in Rehabilitation or Disability Studies, Behavioral sciences
\nor associated field<\/p>\n

Sign Language Certification<\/p>\n

3-5 years of proven experience in sign language interpretation, preferably
\nin academia or hospital environment<\/p>\n

Current sign language interpretation experience in medical setting<\/p>\n

Licensure\/certification required: RID certified with CDI or NIC level or NAD
\ncertification or Advanced or Master Level BEI certified.<\/p>\n

Skills Required:<\/p>\n

Bilingual or Multilingual verbal skills preferred<\/p>\n

Experience in disability support service in academia or other industries<\/p>\n

Good Interpersonal skills<\/p>\n

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of professionals
\nranging from front-line staff to clinicians<\/p>\n
