Since 2004, Alan R. Abarbanell has toured the United States with his
\ncritically acclaimed, one-man show, \u201cThe Abababa Road Tour\u201d chronicling his
\nexperiences growing up hearing in a Deaf family. ABABABA\u2013a name given to
\nhim by a friend who could not pronounce Abarbanell\u2013is a proud CODA (Child
\nof Deaf Adults). Alan wrote this show as a loving tribute to his Deaf
\nheritage and CODA family. Each performance is dedicated to Alan\u2019s parents
\nJoe and Yetta Abarbanell, whom he credits with his sense of humor,
\ncreativity and love for his community.<\/p>\n

Abababa takes his audiences on a rollercoaster ride of emotion; first
\npulling them through the hilarious rush and shocking twists of his youth,
\nthen plunging them into the tragedy and loss that followed, only to hurl
\nthem upwards towards uncontrollable laughter once again! With the simple
\nwave of a hand, Abababa renders each audience exhausted from gales of
\nlaughter and torrents of tears by evening\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

All Proceeds go to Project N.A.D.I.N.E. to help continue our advocacy
\nefforts and to start new programs that will serve the Deaf community!<\/p>\n
