Greater Houston Deaf Connections presents you “Deaf Awareness Week Houston
\n2010”<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have some exciting events going on during the week of September 12-18,
\n2010. And we would like to INVITE you to these events. If you have any
\nquestions please feel free to email daw@deafhouston.org, billy.koch@ghdc.us
\nor brad.porche@ghdc.us<\/p>\n

Sunday – We will be having a gathering at Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah, Texas to
\nkick off the season. This event will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Monday – Cultural Day – Want to know more about deaf culture, and other
\ncultures – we have just a lecture for you. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the event
\nwill be held at University of Houston Main Campus (tentative – location
\nmight change).<\/p>\n

Tuesday – Come out to the Ball game! Houston Astros! We have booked some
\nseats for you to purchase. Use this link and code to purchase your tickets.
\nTickets are $12.00 per ticket plus service fee –<\/p>\n

Wednesday – Will be a Happy Hour at Sherlocks Pub – come and mingle with<\/p>\n

your friends. Starting from 7 p.m. until ?<\/p>\n

Thursday – Educational Day – This event is targeted to Junior and High
\nSchool kids in the surrounding Houston area. They will attend Cy-Fair
\nCollege and meet and learn more about Deaf Professionals.<\/p>\n

Friday – Universal Signs Showing – we will be showing the movie Universal
\nSigns. Tickets are $5.00 per person before the door. $7.00 at the door!

Saturday – Booth Day (9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) We will have a booth day for
\nvendors, organizations and more to display their products\/service. If you
\nwould like a booth please contact us! You can find the form for the booth
\nat http:\/\/www.deafhouston.org<\/a>. Booths are only 25.00 to reserve!<\/p>\n

Everyone come on out and see what the vendors and organizations have.
\nLimited to only 40 booths for this event! Hurry before all the booths are
\ntaken up!<\/p>\n

Saturday NIGHT – 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. – Banquet\/Awards night – We’re
\nclosing out our week long event with a banquet night! Come on to the Westin
\nOaks Hotel in the Galleria area. Tickets are $50.00 per person – our
\nseating limit is only 200 people! So book your seat before it is gone!
\nCome out and mingle – celebrate with us! Hurry the deadline for the ticket
