Silent Weekend 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalm 117 Ministry is hosting a Silent Weekend Retreat this coming October
\n21-24, 2010. We are offering a proposed 2.0 CEUs for this event with
\nworkshops on Biblical Concepts, Scriptural Translation, Worship: Leading,
\nInterpreting, and Performing, and the Ethics of Religious Interpreting.
\nAlong with these workshops we will also have a round table discussion on the
\nissues that we face as interpreters in the realm of religious interpreting.
\nAnyone who is looking to improve their religious interpreting is invited
\nthere is no certification requirements; however, the weekend will be
\nvoice-off with ASL as the language of the retreat. All workshops will be
\npresented in ASL without voice interpreters.<\/p>\n

The retreat will be held at Mt. Lebanon Encampment in Cedar Hill, Texas. The
\nsleeping arrangements are bunkhouse style.<\/p>\n

Please respond as soon as possible with interest in this weekend as space is
\nlimited to 40 participants. We will send out registration information by
\nSeptember 1, with an early bird registration price of $150 with payments and
\nregistration received by September 10. The registration fee is all
\ninclusive: housing, meals, and 20 hours of workshops.<\/p>\n
