This event promises to be enlightening and<br \/>\ninteresting!  Topics of discussion will include:<\/p>\n<p>* Assistive listening devices<br \/>\n* Best accommodation practices<br \/>\n* Improved accessibility for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing<\/p>\n<p>Bio<\/p>\n<p>Rose Aird Minette, M.A., is a Program Specialist employed by the Texas<br \/>\nDepartment of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) &#8211; Office for Deaf<br \/>\nand Hard of Hearing Services.  For the past 15 years she has created and<br \/>\nimplemented services statewide for persons with hearing loss.  She currently<br \/>\nmanages 12 Hearing Loss Resource Specialist contractors and provides<br \/>\ntraining to a variety of audiences, including Vocational Rehabilitation<br \/>\nCounselors, Audiologists and other service providers.
