Message from DAD President – September 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello to all members and friends of DAD<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to autumn weather, which will bring cooler weather,
\nfootball games, state fairs, autumn clothes and the smell & color of fall.<\/p>\n

On August 20 and 21, we had Black Sand movie by ASL Films. It was
\ninteresting movie, unfortunate; I was not able to sit and watch the whole
\nmovie like I wanted to. I received a lot of feedback about the movie.<\/p>\n

I want to share with you that DAD clubhouse will open during Labor Day
\nweekend, so come and visit with us if you are not traveling or going any
\nplace.<\/p>\n

There were a couple vacant positions which are now filled by Susan Pochop;
\nshe is now our vice-president of DAD. Also our Membership Secretary, Ken
\nSeabolt, if you are interesting joining DAD member.<\/p>\n

Mark September 24th for our Third Annual Award Night, please check for the
\nflier (http:\/\/www.dallasdeafclub.org\/doc\/SPECIAL_ANNOUNCEMENT.pdf<\/a>) on DAD
\nwebsite. Please see one of the officers or board members about purchasing
\ntickets.<\/p>\n

Here are events for the month of September 2010:<\/p>\n

Friday September 3- Prime Time Sign Time 8:00 pm – (note of the new time)
\nCindy Nagy will be conducting the PTST.<\/p>\n

Friday, September 10 – Ladies Night 7:00 pm – Come and meet our new Bar
\nManager, Ray Seal<\/p>\n

Saturday September 18- CINGO game 8:30 pm – Come, play and have some fun!<\/p>\n

Friday September 24 – Third Annual Award night – NAD President Dr. Bobbie
\nBeth Scoggins; come and meet her, she will be the key note speaker.<\/p>\n

Saturday September 25 General Meeting 7:30 pm<\/p>\n

I would like to remind you that DAD has their own website.
\n http:\/\/www.dallasdeafclub.org<\/a> and anyone is able to check the website to
\ncheck about our upcoming events and social nights. Also if you desire to use
\nthe DAD’s meeting hall for your party, please contact me, either in person
\nor email: dlide@dallasdeafclub.org.<\/p>\n
