Deaf Awareness Week in Corpus Christi, Texas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Come join the fun and education week on September 19th – 25th 2010<\/p>\n

19th-1:00 pm to 5:00 pm- DAW kicks off with a picnic, games and magic
\nshow. Hamburgers or hotdogs with chips and a drink will be sold for
\n$2.50 per person. The Nueces County Sheriff’s Department and Corpus
\nChristi Fire Department will display a fire truck, police cars and drug
\ncanine unit. Location at The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center<\/p>\n

20th- 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm- Parent of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children
\ndiscussion panel. Refreshments will be provided. Location at The Deaf
\nand Hard of Hearing Center<\/p>\n

21st- Noon to 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm- Bowling at AMF Saratoga
\nLanes<\/p>\n

22nd- 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm- Open House and Proclamation by Mayor Joe Adame
\nor city staff. DHHC board meeting. Refreshments will be provided.
\nLocation at The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center.<\/p>\n

23rd- 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm- ” You got ASL ” night. Come with your talents
\nand show the community. Can be skits, story telling, dance, songs,
\nwhatever you have! Refreshments will be provided. Location at The Deaf
\nand Hard of Hearing Center<\/p>\n

24th- 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm- Movie Night. $1.00 donation. Popcorn, snacks,
\nand drinks will be sold at a minimal cost. Location at The Deaf and Hard
\nof Hearing Center.<\/p>\n

25th- 10:00 am to 12:00 noon- Storytelling and activities at Barnes and
\nNoble. DAW ends with a social gathering at Brewster Street Ice House at
\n6:00 pm to ??<\/p>\n

Displays and Exhibits will be available Monday through Thursday from
\n9:00 to 5:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 noon at The Deaf and Hard
\nof Hearing Center.<\/p>\n
