DAD’S 3rd ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday evening, September 24, 2010, 6:30 pm – 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Association of the Deaf (DAD) will be hosting their Third Annual
\nAwards Night on September 24th.<\/p>\n

DAD wants to take the time to applaud those individuals who deserve to be
\nrecognized by the DFW Deaf community. Individuals for the Man and Woman of
\nthe Year as well as Lifetime awards shall be announced. Those who are
\nhonored will have their names inscribed on our plaques inside DAD.<\/p>\n

We will also have a dedication for our outstanding, long-time member, Robert
\n(Bob) Wood, who recently passed away.<\/p>\n

DAD is very excited to have Dr. Bobbie Beth Scoggins as our keynote speaker
\nat our Annual Awards program. Dr. Scoggins is currently President of the
\nNational Association of the Deaf (NAD) and the Chief of Staff at CSD
\n(Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.), which is located in South
\nDakota. Having been born and raised in Irving, TX she is looking forward to
\nseeing her old friends as well as making new ones at this event.<\/p>\n

Also Mack Harris will be the master of ceremonies at this event. Mack is
\ncurrently the vice-president of the Deaf Seniors of America (DSA) and the
\npresident of North Texas Deaf Seniors Citizens (NTDSC).<\/p>\n

If purchasing your ticket(s) in advance: $15 per person. Deadline to
\npurchase in advance is September 21st. If purchasing your ticket(s) at the
\ndoor: $20 per person.<\/p>\n
