A small button with the closed-captioning logo<br \/>\nappears in the bottom left corner of the window. When this button is<br \/>\nclicked, a text box opens below the video to display captioning. This text<br \/>\nbox does not obstruct the video. Please note that closed captioning is<br \/>\navailable on webcasts and recordings of Council meetings beginning September<br \/>\n14, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Cablecast Closed captioning is typically displayed at the bottom of the TV<br \/>\nscreen and becomes visible when the user activates the closed-captioning<br \/>\ndecoder, available in all TV sets manufactured after 1993. For  TVs<br \/>\nmanufactured before 1993, a stand-alone decoder can be purchased. Please<br \/>\nnote that Council and Pre-Council meetings are cablecast live and<br \/>\nare periodically replayed on the City Municipal Channel, which is available<br \/>\nin certain packages offered by these providers: AT&amp;T (Uverse), Charter, One<br \/>\nSource and Verizon.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission (HRC) recommended that<br \/>\nthe city website be made accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing<br \/>\ncommunity by including closed captioning for the website videos and by<br \/>\nproviding American Sign Language (ASL) services online.
