\nand rocking to the beat of a different drummer! In a world historically
\nconsidered off limits to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, 28 year old SEAN
\nFORBES has opened the door to musical expression for people with hearing
\nloss.<\/p>\n
\nDallas, Texas<\/p>\n
\ndrummer, rhythm pours out of him. Music is in his blood, his cells; it\u2019s
\njust the way he is. Sean is also deaf – and out to build a badly needed
\nbridge between the music industry and deaf people everywhere. Sean grew up
\nin Detroit, where his parents, both musicians, filled their home with the
\nsounds of the Motor City. Despite losing his hearing as a baby, Sean soaked
\nup the beats and vibrations, experiencing great music in his own way. Today,
\nSean is producing professional music videos with a focus on the Deaf and
\nHard of Hearing Community, and is a voice for both his generation and Deaf
\nCulture. He is co-founder of D-PAN, The Deaf Professional Arts Network, a
\nnon-profit organization that focuses on translating popular artists\u2019 songs
\ninto American Sign Language music videos for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
\nHis dream of music for all has helped to transform the way the Deaf perceive
\nmusic, and Sean Forbes is living proof that if you have enough passion and
