Support group for Al-Anon with interpreters<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travis County Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will be providing
\nsign language interpreters for Al-Anon support group meeting on November 5,
\n12, 19, and 26, 2010 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill
\nRoad, Austin, Texas Group #63811 at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

What is Al-Anon? Al-Anon is for person who worries or is concern about
\nfamily or love one who drinks too much. Is Al-Anon for you? Read the
\nquestions below:<\/p>\n

Is someone’s drinking getting to you?<\/p>\n

Millions of people are affected by the excessive drinking of someone close.<\/p>\n

The following questions are designed to help you decide whether or not you
\nneed Al-Anon:<\/p>\n

Do you worry about how much someone else drinks?
\nDo you feel if the drinker loved you, he or she would stop drinking to
\nplease you?
\nDo you have money problems because of someone else’s drinking?
\nAre plans frequently upset or cancelled or meals delayed because of the
\ndrinker?
\nDo you tell lies to cover up for someone else’s drinking?
\nDo you secretly try to smell the drinker’s breath?
\nDo you blame the drinker’s behaviour on his or her companions?
\nDo you search for hidden alcohol?
\nDo you make threats, such as “If you don’t stop drinking, I’ll leave you?”
\nDo you often ride in a car with a driver who has been drinking?
\nAre you afraid to upset someone for fear it will set off a drinking bout?
\nHave you refused social invitations out of fear or anxiety?
\nHave you been hurt or embarrassed by a drinker’s behaviour?
\nDo you think that if the drinker stopped drinking, your other problems would
\nbe solved?
\nAre holidays and gatherings spoiled because of drinking?
\nHave you considered calling the police for help in fear of abuse?
\nDo you sometimes feel like a failure when you think of the lengths that you
\nhave gone to, to control the drinker?
\nDo you even threaten to hurt yourself to scare the drinker?
\nDo you feel angry, confused or depressed most of the time?
\nDo you feel there is no one who understands your problems?
\nIf you answer Yes to three or more of these questions then Al-Anon Family
\nGroups may be able to help you!<\/p>\n
