It will be showing at Zilkha Hall in the<br \/>\nHobby Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday and Sunday , Dec 18 and 19<br \/>\nat 2:30 and 7:30 pm. This show is a great group outing and family friendly<br \/>\nevent that honors the Christmas season\u2026.and it\u2019s only an hour long!<\/p>\n<p>The storyline is that of a widow and her disabled child, who are visited by<br \/>\nthree wise men. It\u2019s a heartwarming opera that was made for television in<br \/>\nthe 1950\u2019s\u2014a wonderful introduction, . \u201cAMAHL\u201d is absolutely accessible to<br \/>\ndeaf community, with a special ticket rate ($10) great for groups of all<br \/>\ngenerations. There will be an interpreter present to facilitate ticketing<br \/>\nand announcements before the show, as well as discussion with performers<br \/>\nafter the show. Another highlight involves educating and teaching the basics<br \/>\nof the ASL alphabet to the hearing audience as well.<\/p>\n<p>Please consider bringing your group and family, as tickets for the deaf<br \/>\ncommunity, seniors and students is only $10 per attendee.<\/p>\n<p>Earthen Vessels, The Sandra Organ Dance Company has been in existence for 12<br \/>\nyears, and has offered this production along with two others revolving<br \/>\naround various communities in our city, especially the African American and<br \/>\nLatino heritages therein. The Company has offices and studio space at<br \/>\nTalento Bilingue and offers reasonable tickets rates at a variety of venues<br \/>\nin the downtown area.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra Organ Solis founded THE COMPANY after 15years as Houston Ballet\u2019s<br \/>\nfirst African American ballerina, and founded this contemporary ballet<br \/>\nensemble to promote contemporary dance, educate and diversify the audience<br \/>\nwith \u201cdances they can get.\u201d Mrs. Organ Solis is a master teacher, performs<br \/>\nsacred dance in church settings and leads choreographic workshops at<br \/>\nspiritual retreats.
