Texas State certified HCS-funded foster family is seeking a female who is deaf to become a part of our foster family and to be a companion for my sister, Lisa. Lisa is deaf and has mild mental retardation and is evaluated at a Level 1 based on the State of Texas diagnostics. We are seeking someone at that same level as Lisa. We have been truly blessed with a beautiful lakefront home on Lake Houston in Humble, Texas (a suburb of Houston, Texas) and would like to share it with someone who can become Lisa’s lifelong friend. We have room in our hearts and in our home to foster another special person. <\/p>\n
As foster parents, we will create an opportunity for individuals to live in a fully supervised home. Each fostered individual will have their own private bedroom, participate in a structured day program (at Village Learning & Achievement Center in Kingwood, Texas), scheduled family-style meal times, and leisure activities such as: Special Olympics, church, art, birthday celebrations, parties, bowling, shopping, dining out, special holiday events, and seasonal events (fishing, paddle boating, jet skiing, and swimming).<\/p>\n
