With the increased number<br \/>\nof deaf students attending Lamar University, the office of Services for<br \/>\nStudents with Disabilities has opened a second part-time staff position,<br \/>\nwith benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Department: Students with Disabilities<\/p>\n<p>Posting Number: 20110039<\/p>\n<p>Duties: Under the general supervision of the Coordinator of Communication<br \/>\nAccess for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing CADH, provide part-time (25 hours<br \/>\nper week) sign language interpreting services for Deaf\/Hard of Hearing<br \/>\nfaculty, staff, students and visitors. Sign language interpreting services<br \/>\ninclude but are not limited to interpreting for lectures, labs, seminars,<br \/>\nmeetings, appointments and exams as well as university-hosted activities<br \/>\nsuch as convocations, commencements, orientations and lecture series. Adhere<br \/>\nto the RID Code of Professional Conduct. Participate in feedback and\/or<br \/>\nmentor peer interpreters for skill development.
