Structure of ASL<\/strong><\/p>\n

A workshop presented by Dr Byron Bridges<\/p>\n

Understanding the structure of ASL is a tool every interpreter, teacher and
\nstudent must have in their bag of tricks. Many interpreters and teachers use
\nsign language, but they don\u2019t know where to find nouns, verbs, adjectives,
\nor adverbs in ASL. Why can the sign DEAF go either way? How does ASL Syntax
\nwork? What\u2019s the difference between numbers and numerical incorporation? In
\nthis workshop we will be studying phonology, morphology, syntax, pragmatics
\nand semantics in ASL. This workshop will help everyone fully understand
\nwhat\u2019s \u201cinside\u201d ASL.<\/p>\n
