Structure of ASL workshop – Austin<\/p>\n

A workshop presented by Dr Byron Bridges<\/p>\n

Understanding the structure of ASL is a tool every interpreter, teacher
\nand student must have in their bag of tricks. Many interpreters and teachers
\nuse sign language, but they don\u2019t know where to find nouns, verbs,
\nadjectives, or adverbs in ASL. Why can the sign DEAF go either way? How does
\nASL Syntax work? What\u2019s the difference between numbers and numerical
\nincorporation? In this workshop we will be studying phonology, morphology,
\nsyntax, pragmatics and semantics in ASL. This workshop will help everyone
\nfully understand what\u2019s \u201cinside\u201d ASL.<\/p>\n
