Free Tax Preparation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing<\/strong><\/p>\n February 1, 2011 \u2013 April 14, 2011<\/p>\n \u2022 IRS Certified VITA volunteers will prepare the tax returns. What to bring:<\/p>\n Social Security cards for everyone listed on tax return. Mayor\u2019s Office for People with Disabilities is sponsoring DeafTax VITA Free Tax Preparation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing February 1, 2011 \u2013 April 14, 2011 \u2022 IRS Certified VITA volunteers will prepare the tax returns. \u2022 Both federal…<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Both federal and state income tax returns will be prepared.
\n\u2022 Videophones will be provided to participating VITA site allowing the\u00a0taxpayer
\nand volunteer to communicate in real-time.
\n\u2022 The service will be available from February 1 to April 14, 2011.
\n\u2022 Individuals and families earning $49,000 or less without business income
\nare\u00a0eligible for this service.
\n\u2022 Locations: Lillian Beard Deaf Connection Center (9920 Long Point, Houston,

\nTX 77002)

\nTwo forms of ID for primary taxpayer and spouse (one must be photo ID.)
\nBirthdates of all individuals to appear on return.
\nAll W-2s and 1099s and any other income reporting documents.
\nDocumentation for all deductions and\/or credits claimed, i.e. education\u00a0credits.
\nDocumentation supporting a claim to a dependency exemption (for example,\u00a0Form 8332 or Form 2120)
\nDay care provider\u2019s identifying number and receipts (if applicable)
\nBank routing and account numbers for direct deposit
