Free Event for People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes Demanding An Interpreter Work?\u201d – Austin<\/p>\n

Now, let me ask you several questions as below:<\/p>\n

1) Do you believe that DEMANDING an interpreter (or other accommodation) for
\nan appointment works?<\/p>\n

2) Do you believe that the service providers are REQUIRED to pay for an
\naccommodation, i.e., the interpreting service because the ADA says so?<\/p>\n

3) Do you believe that ALL service providers\/entities are aware of their
\nresponsibility to accommodate you to ensure effective communication or
\ncommunication access?<\/p>\n

If you answer \u201cYes\u201d to at least one of the above questions, come to my
\nworkshop to find out and to have fun learning. The workshop would empower
\nyou to learn how to request an accommodation, i.e., interpreter or CART,
\neffectively while maintaining a healthy relationship with a service provider
\nor entity. The free workshop is scheduled and located at:<\/p>\n
