RIO Is excited to present Mike McMillion for our  April workshop. He always presents a creative, informative, and fun workshop. Mike’s “Dense Terminology” workshop will challenge participants with “dense terms” that offer a layer of complexity to the text\/discourse. Participants will strategize and incorporate techniques and tips among colleagues and instructor on ways to recognize works that must be “handled” with more mental effort than simply providing a basic transliteration that may not be meaningful for the consumer.<\/div>\n

Mike McMillion has worked for Sorenson Video Relay – DFW for six years. Mike is also a member and interpreter of their core training team. He conducts training sessions and participates in peer mentoring. Mike holds a BEI level IV certification and is court certified. He also holds an NIC – Master in Interpretation and Transliteration with Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf, Inc. <\/div>\n
