SILVER SPRING, MD. — The Board of Directors of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) announce the appointment of Astrid Amann Goodstein as Region IV Member. She fills the vacancy resulting from the resignation of John Dickinson (Colorado) and will serve out the remainder of his term, ending at the biennial NAD conference in 2010.<\/p>\n
Goodstein resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and holds membership in both the Arizona Association of the Deaf and the National Association of the Deaf. She previously lived in Maryland and served as president of the Maryland Association of the Deaf. Now retired, she was an administrator at Gallaudet University.<\/p>\n
“We welcome Astrid and know that she will be a dynamic member of the NAD Board,” said NAD President Bobbie Beth Scoggins. “I know that John remains as dedicated as ever to the NAD and I look forward to his continuing involvement.”<\/p>\n
The next meeting of the NAD Board of Directors is April 27 and 28, 2007 at the NAD Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. <\/p>\n
