LIVE MUSIC FOR A GOOD CAUSE \u2013 APRIL 30<\/p>\n

PROCEEDS SUPPORT TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF\u2019S SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS<\/p>\n

WHAT: SND Rocks \u2013 3rd Annual Live Music Benefit for the Texas School for the
\nDeaf\u2019s (TSD) Special Needs Department (SND). Sponsored by Jovita\u2019s, event
\nproceeds will provide specialized classroom tools and equipment for SND
\nstudents.<\/p>\n

The lineup, features:
\nThe Matt Dunham Band – 9:30 pm
\nSpy Ring – 8:30 pm
\nMad Squirrel – 7:30 pm
\nDavid Blake Trio – 6:30 pm<\/p>\n

Doors open at 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n

Please note: The show is recommended for mature audiences and is not a TSD
\nsponsored activity.<\/p>\n

WHY: A unique program in the continuum of services provided by the Texas
\nSchool for the Deaf (TSD), the Special Needs Department (SND) educates and
\nnurtures students from all over Texas who are not only deaf or hard of
\nhearing, but have additional cognitive and\/or developmental challenges. This
\nevent supports these \u201cfighters and survivors\u201d by providing critical tools
\nand equipment needed in SND classrooms at TSD.<\/p>\n

A musician himself, TSD\u2019s Assistant Principal of SND – Robert Solis, invites
\neveryone to come out to enjoy great music at a great Austin venue in support
\nof a very worthy cause.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a really special event to me, says Solis. With this exciting
\nlineup, this year looks to be bigger and better than ever! Several of the
\nmusicians have participated with us each year. Many have connections to TSD
\nas well. We\u2019re all friends, or friends or friends, who just enjoy getting
\ntogether to do this to be part of a great cause.\u201d Solis will perform with
\nhis band, Mad Squirrel.<\/p>\n
