Houston Deaf Advisory Committee: New Committee Members Wanted!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Houston Deaf Advisory Committee (HDAC) is now accepting applications to
\nfill 5 new positions. We are seeking leaders and advocates in the deaf
\ncommunity within the city of Houston. The purpose of this committee is to
\nadvise and make recommendations to the Mayor\u2019s Office for People with
\nDisabilities and City Departments on issues pertaining to the deaf community
\nwithin the city of Houston. We are working together to create a more
\n\u201cdeaf-friendly\u201d Houston.<\/p>\n

The committee meets on a quarterly basis at the Metropolitan Multi-Service
\nCenter (1475 W. Gray St., Houston, TX 77019). The HDAC also has private
\nmeetings in between quarterly, public meetings.<\/p>\n

If you are interested in being considered for a position on the Houston Deaf
\nAdvisory Committee, please send a complete application to Kaitlyn Tracy at
\nKaitlyn.Tracy@houstontx.gov or send by mail. The address is in the
\napplication. Incomplete applications will not be considered. (see link
\nbelow)<\/p>\n
