We are seeking leaders and advocates in the deaf<br \/>\ncommunity within the city of Houston. The purpose of this committee is to<br \/>\nadvise and make recommendations to the Mayor\u2019s Office for People with<br \/>\nDisabilities and City Departments on issues pertaining to the deaf community<br \/>\nwithin the city of Houston. We are working together to create a more<br \/>\n\u201cdeaf-friendly\u201d Houston.<\/p>\n<p>The committee meets on a quarterly basis at the Metropolitan Multi-Service<br \/>\nCenter (1475 W. Gray St., Houston, TX 77019). The HDAC also has private<br \/>\nmeetings in between quarterly, public meetings.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in being considered for a position on the Houston Deaf<br \/>\nAdvisory Committee, please send a complete application to Kaitlyn Tracy at<br \/>\nKaitlyn.Tracy@houstontx.gov or send by mail. The address is in the<br \/>\napplication. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
