It<br \/>\nis a program based in Dallas that collects old or used<br \/>\nhearing aids and distributes them to deaf and hard-of-<br \/>\nhearing people that cannot afford to buy hearing aids.<\/p>\n<p>How are the hearing aids distributed?<\/p>\n<p>The hearing aids go to the Callier Center at the<br \/>\nUniversity of Texas at Dallas. The Callier Center then<br \/>\ndistributes the hearing aids to people who demonstrate<br \/>\na significant financial need.<\/p>\n<p>Are the donations tax deductible?<\/p>\n<p>Yes. All hearing aid donations to HARP are tax<br \/>\ndeductible under the Callier Center\u2019s 501(c)(3) status.<\/p>\n<p>How can I donate my used hearing aids?<\/p>\n<p>The best way to donate is through the mail. After<br \/>\ncontacting HARP, you will receive an envelope in the<br \/>\nmail with a case to put the hearing aids in along with a<br \/>\npostage-paid, pre-addressed envelope.
