Advocacy, self advocacy, self<br \/>\ndetermination, self esteem, requesting interpreter services, understanding<br \/>\ninterpreter ethics, and locating resources are some of the concepts covered.<\/p>\n<p>Target Audience<\/p>\n<p>For individuals who are: 1) fluent in sign language 2) have an advanced<br \/>\nknowledge level of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and 3) have some<br \/>\nexperience as a trainer.<\/p>\n<p>Training Date and City<\/p>\n<p>San Antonio &#8211; June 1-7, 2011<br \/>\nRegistration Deadline: May 20, 2011<\/p>\n<p>Lubbock &#8211; July 6-7, 2011<br \/>\nRegistration Deadline: June 29, 2011<\/p>\n<p>Arlington &#8211; July 21-22, 2011<br \/>\nRegistration Deadline: July 14, 2011<\/p>\n<p>Houston &#8211; August 16-17, 2011<br \/>\nRegistration Deadline: August 9, 2011<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a two day training, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. The training is<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> limited to 30 participants and is free.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After registration is confirmed, the exact location will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>To register<\/p>\n<p>Advanced registration is required.
