BIOGRAPHY<\/p>\n

Cherie Black Vaughn of Allen, TX passed away from this life on Friday, June 24, 2011 at her home. Cherie was born in Baton Rouge, LA on May 7, 1970 to Claire Danner and Norman Cole Black, Jr. Cherie attended Gallaudet University and later received a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Child Development from the University of North Texas.<\/p>\n

Cherie is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Charles Vaughn, Jr.; mother, Claire Danner McDowra and stepfather Jerald; sisters, Colette Black Dowden, Michelle Black Fisher, Kim Black and Stephanie Gunnerson; brother Gary Black; stepsisters, Michelle Simpson and Pam Poovey; stepbrothers, Ricky McDowra, Steve McDowra and Kevin McDowra; along with several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

Cherie is preceded in death by her father, Norman Cole Black, Jr.; grandparents, Norman Sr. and Gladys Black and William and Margaret Danner; as well as brother Freddy Black.<\/p>\n

Cherie had a passion for life that was undeniable. She touched the hearts of many whose lives will forever be changed.
\nThe family will receive friends from 9 AM until service time, Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Seventh Day Adventis Church located at, 1201 W. Beltline Rd., Richardson, Texas 75080. Funeral services to follow at 11AM with Pastor Christopher Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery in Waxahachie, Texas.<\/p>\n
