Location: Austin, TX preferably, but Sioux Falls, SD may be considered<\/p>\n

Position Description:
\nThe Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales
\nforce. The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing
\nthe technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction
\nwith the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for
\nour current and emerging products.<\/p>\n

Essential Functions:
\nArticulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical
\nusers.
\nConceptualize and communicate on how the company products and services
\naffect opportunities and sales exposure within the organization.
\nPerform customer needs assessments and convey customer requirements to
\nBusiness Development team
\nDefine the current and future company products to address requirements of
\nprospect business.
\nDesign and deliver product presentations based on the necessities and
\ncompetitive sales condition.
\nResponsible for responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs\/RFPs
\nMust be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure
\ncomplete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
\nUnderstand product capability gaps or functionality to define ways to handle
\nthem using partners, product enhancements, etc.
\nImprove product specification layout and detail according to the
\ndistinguishing features of company products.
\nParticipate at conferences, tradeshows, and other events as required by
\nSales Management and Product Marketing.
\nProvide knowledge and training on products to peers, presales and sales
\nstaff in the organization.
\nDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions,
\nfeatures and benefits.
\nDevelop and maintain business and client contact information as these
\nrelates to product development.
\nProvide specifications and quotes to prospective clients.
\nMay be responsible for writing and enhancing technical product manuals.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, SW or HW Engineering or related
\ndiscipline.
\nMinimum of 5 years experience in a technical application capacity
\nProven success-presenting technology as business solution.
\nProven success selling in complicated sales surroundings with both technical
\nand business buyers.
\nMust possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate
\nprofessionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting
\nreports.
\nOrganized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative
\nand adaptive approaches.
\nFluency in ASL highly preferred, but not required.<\/p>\n

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.<\/p>\n
