Our<br \/>\nelementary group has an opening for a teacher for this next school year.<br \/>\nThe teacher should be fluent in ASL and have experience teaching young<br \/>\nchildren with multiple issues.  A certified teacher is preferred.  Job<br \/>\nresponsibilities\/expectations include, (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n<p>1. Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop<br \/>\neducational plan for each student under your assignment.<br \/>\n2. Implement an instructional or skill development program for assigned<br \/>\nstudents and show written evidence of preparation as required.<br \/>\n3. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies,<br \/>\nactivities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the<br \/>\nlearning styles and needs of students assigned.<br \/>\n4. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs<br \/>\nand capabilities of each student assigned.<br \/>\n5. Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s).<br \/>\n6. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and<br \/>\ninformal testing.<br \/>\n7. Provide or supervise personal care, medical care, and feeding of students<br \/>\nas required by student\u2019s needs.<br \/>\n8. Be a positive role model for students; support mission of school.<br \/>\n9. Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for<br \/>\nthe physical, social, and emotional development of students.<br \/>\n10. Manage student behavior and administer appropriate discipline.<br \/>\n11. Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with<br \/>\nparents, students, administrator, and teachers.<br \/>\n12.
