Snakes, Slime, and Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

July 10,2011 at 3-5 p.m.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, July 10, 2011, UT\u2019s Pam Cook will be in the museum rotunda with a
\nfull assortment of fun science learning activities. Her summer research
\nstudents will be there to help, including students from LBJ High School\u2019s
\nLASA and the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), and two American Sign Language
\n(ASL) interpreters! All visitors, hearing and deaf, will have a great time
\nmaking gummy goo, handling slimy \u201csnakes,\u201d eating delicious polymers, and
\ncollecting activity sheets to take home for even more hands-on science fun!<\/p>\n

With the help of UT science and engineering students and faculty, Pam has
\nbeen doing Science Sundays for almost five years. She\u2019s worked with TSD high
\nschool and elementary school students for four years. On July 10 from 3-5
\np.m. it\u2019s time to bring everyone together for a lot of learning, a little
\nASL, and a long string of fun activities with the biggest and most
\nentertaining molecules in the lab: Polymers!<\/p>\n
