Workshop: 9\/31\/11 – 10\/1\/11<\/strong><\/p>\n

TASBID’s annual 1.0 CEUs Interpreter Training workshop will be the weekend
\nof September 30 – October 1, 2011.<\/p>\n

“Becoming a well-rounded Church Interpreter”, presented by Connie Miller,
\nwill focus on the various aspects of Church Interpreting. Topics will
\ninclude 3 hours of church interpreter ethics along with 7 hours on various
\nways to improve your deaf ministry and how to overcome challenges you may
\nface.<\/p>\n

We will examine English church phrases and how to interpret them into ASL.
\nThere will be a sharing of church interpreting resources.<\/p>\n

CEUs are being applied for.<\/p>\n

Latham Springs Retreat Center is a camp with the cost (under $100.00)
\ncovering the dorm sleeping arrangement and 3 meals. Details will follow.
\nDue to space limitations, preregistration will be required.<\/p>\n
