AUDITION NOTICE!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Miracle Worker<\/strong><\/p>\n

Production dates September 30 – October 16, 2011<\/p>\n

Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 PM Sundays at 3:00 PM<\/p>\n

Call time is one hour prior to the show.<\/p>\n

Auditions for the role of Helen Keller for the upcoming production of The
\nMiracle Worker will be held on Saturday, July 30 from 9am-4pm. They will
\ntake place at Runway Theatre, 215 North Dooley Grapevine, Texas. Auditions
\nare by appointment only and will be scheduled every 15 minutes. No other
\ndate or time is currently available to audition.<\/p>\n

Auditions are by appointment only, no walk in will be accepted.<\/p>\n

Please email miracleworker@runwaytheatre.com with the following
\ninformation.<\/p>\n

Your Name, Age, Height, phone number, headshot with your name labeled, and
\nresume. You will be contacted through email about any audition appointment.
\nPlease be sure the email address you use is one we can contact you back
\nthrough. Do not call the theater for an audition appointment.<\/p>\n

Parent or guardian must accompany child to the audition.<\/p>\n

For auditions, you must be convincible playing a 7 year old blind, deaf
\nmute. Please come to audition in clothes that you are comfortable moving
\nin. All audition material will be that of improvisation. Plan on throwing
\na temper tantrum, a very big one, without making any vocal noise. You will
\nalso be required to attempt to get out of a chair while being held down.
\nOther theatre improvisations will be asked also. Helen does make some
\nnoises vocally during the show, mostly when angry, frustrated or frightened.
\nYou may be asked to make those noises.<\/p>\n

Rehearsals for just Helen will begin the first week of August. Due to the
\ndemands of the rehearsal process, it is expected that those auditioning are
\nA\/B students and maintain their GPA during the rehearsal period. Please
\nbring your most current report card to auditions. Your education is far
\nmore important than this role.<\/p>\n

Auditions for the remainder of the cast will be held August 14\/15 and the
\ngirl cast as Helen will be required to be at those auditions. Complete
\nrehearsals will start immediately and are tentatively planned for Sunday –
\nThursday from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Helen will be required to be at every
\nrehearsal. An adult will remain at the theatre until all children have been
\npicked up following nightly rehearsals. During the final two weeks, you can
\nexpect to be at the theatre later than 10:00 pm.<\/p>\n
