Caruso\u2019s Golf Academy<\/p>\n

The San Antonio Sports Association for the Deaf (SASAD) is partnering with
\nMike Houston, PGA graduate, and Caruso\u2019s Golf Academy to providing an ASL
\naccessible Jjr. Golf Camp August 8 \u2013 11, 2011 from 9am \u2013 12 noon.<\/p>\n

Mike Houston, is the first Deaf person to obtain recognition by the
\nProfessional Golf Association, has been tireless in his efforts to establish
\nan accessible Jr. Golf Program in Texas. Part of his efforts have included
\nhelping TSD establish a golf program, and finding funding to build a
\npractice area and hire an instructor, Brandon Babineaux, also deaf and an
\nextremely talented golfer, quite possibly the best deaf golfer in the
\nnation.<\/p>\n

The camp costs $200. Limited financial assistance is available on a case-by
\ncase basis. Please contact Scott Bailey at swatpeace@hotmail.com if you
\nwould like more information about financial assistance for the camp. This
\ninitial program is limited to 8 children. These children can be Deaf, HoH or
\nKODA. This camp is being held at the same time as a larger Jr. golf camp
\nand with ASL access being provided, children and parents will be able to
\ninteract with everyone! Your child will not need to purchase any equipment
\nto participate in this camp.<\/p>\n

The junior camps will be for all ages beginning at 5 years old. We will
\nteach the beginners the basics of golf and we will make sure they have a
\ngreat time learning. For those that are a little more advanced than the
\nbeginner, we will be focusing on developing the swing utilizing all of our
\nteaching and video equipment.<\/p>\n
