The U.S. Access Board proudly invites you to an all-day meeting being held
\non<\/p>\n

* In the Morning\u2026 From 9:30 to 11:30 am, we will hold a public hearing on
\nproposed guidelines for public rights-of-way which were published on July
\n26, 2011. These guidelines will address access to sidewalks, street
\ncrossings, and other components of pedestrian networks for people with
\ndisabilities.<\/p>\n

* Lunch\u2014on your own<\/p>\n

* In the Afternoon\u2026 the Access Board will host two panel presentations from
\nexperts in the fields of: (1) state certified code implementation and (2)
\nself-service transaction machines. After our invited speakers make their
\npresentations, the Board will have an \u201copen microphone session\u201d for public
\ncomment.<\/p>\n

We welcome your attendance and participation at these events. If you are
\ninterested in providing testimony during the morning hearing, you are

Dear Colleague:<\/p>\n

On behalf of the U.S. Access Board, I am pleased to provide you with
\nadditional details of our meeting which will take place on September 12,
\n2011 at the Sheraton Dallas on 400 North Olive Street in Dallas.<\/p>\n

On the morning of September 12th, the Access Board will conduct a public
\nhearing on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on guidelines for public
\nrights-of-way which were published on July 26, 2011. These guidelines
\naddress access to sidewalks, street crossings, and other components of
\npedestrian networks for people with disabilities. Members of the public who
\nare interested in providing testimony at this hearing are encouraged to
\ncontact me at: Johnson@access-board.gov so that I can put your name on the
\nwitness list.<\/p>\n

During the afternoon, the Access Board will hear from two panels of experts.
\nThe first panel will discuss the State certified code implementation
\nprocess. The second panel will talk about issues surrounding making
\nself-service transaction machines accessible to persons with disabilities.
\nAfter both of the panels have made their presentations, we will have an
\n\u201copen microphone session\u201d where we will invite the audience to make comments
\nand ask any questions they may have. The Access Board values these
\nout-of-town meetings because it affords our members the opportunity to
\nopenly discuss issues and interact with citizens who are interested in the
\nBoard\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

I am attaching a flyer (see above) that gives some of the details of this meeting. I
\nencourage you to share this flyer with your colleagues who may also be
\ninterested in taking part in this meeting.<\/p>\n
