St. Ed’s, School For Deaf Receive False Bomb Threats<\/p>\n
April 19, 2007<\/p>\n
St. Edward’s University received bomb threats at 10 p.m. Wednesday and again at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n
“The decision was made not to evacuate at this time, because at the time that the 8:30 phone call came in, university police had just finished a very thorough sweep of the entire campus, so they felt confident the campus was safe,” said university spokeswoman Mischelle Amador.<\/p>\n
Campus police are working with the Austin Police Department and the FBI to investigate who has made the threats.<\/p>\n
A bomb threat was phoned in to the Texas School for the Deaf Thursday morning, and it was also determined to be a hoax.<\/p>\n
