NAD Position Announcement – Receptionist<\/p>\n
Silver Spring, MD \u2013 The National Association of the Deaf (NAD), headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks a dynamic and a highly motivated Receptionist.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities for the Receptionist include, but are not limited to: Managing the association\u2019s lobby area; greeting and directing all visitors; handling incoming and outgoing calls; assisting with administrative projects including word processing, data entry, and Internet research tasks. Additional duties include mail distribution; supply orders and distribution; and other general administrative duties.<\/p>\n
This position requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree or an acceptable combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and team player, with the ability to work collaboratively, effectively and flexibly with staff and multiple constituents. Excellent organizational skills are required, with the ability to work independently under pressure and adhere to tight timelines. Exceptional written communication, research, and presentation skills are also required for this position. Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) with knowledge of deaf culture, language, and heritage is required.<\/p>\n
This is a full time position with a standard benefits package; salary is commensurate with experience.<\/p>\n
