This workshop is an overview of the language development process in Deaf and
\nHard of Hearing children and the impact it has on the interpreting process.
\nIn the educational field, Interpreters are communication facilitators as
\nwell as language role models.<\/p>\n

Attendees will participate in a lecture style and round table discussion of
\nlanguage development and interpreting techniques best used in the classroom
\nto benefit the learning of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. Attendee will
\nalso be given scenarios to practice how they would break down information in
\na classroom setting.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the workshop to benefit the 3rd Saturday Silent Night Pot
\nLuck gathering and the Interpreters study library.<\/p>\n
