NCTRID Presents a Saturday Workshop Combo<\/p>\n

Two workshop presented in ASL<\/p>\n

“COW-That”: ASL Phraseology, Presented by Lisa Gelineau<\/p>\n

ASL has a set of expressions and phrases used by native ASL users that often
\nhave no simple ASL to English translational equivalent. The content of this
\nworkshop will assist participants in recognizing and mastering the challenge
\nof accurately producing equivalent interpretations.<\/p>\n

Mini Buffet a Smorgasbord of Numbers in ASL: Incorporation of Numbers,
\nPresented by Lisa Bosson & Perry Connolly<\/p>\n

Participants will increase their understanding of the origin (French
\netymology) and evolution of ASL numbers as well as the fluidity principal,
\nlanguage register usage, and categories of ASL numbers. Activities will
\ninclude appropriate palm orientation while interpreting numeric
\nequivalencies.<\/p>\n
