CCID Workshop 9\/21\/11 – Corpus Christi<\/strong><\/p>\n

CCID will participate in our local Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) celebration.<\/p>\n

DAW will take place September 17-23 in Corpus Christi, Texas.<\/p>\n

CCID will host a workshop on September 21, 2011 that will involve
\n\u201cInterpreting Stations\u201d.<\/p>\n

This workshop will encompass different interpreting environments such as
\nsocial services, educational, and medical incorporating different modes of
\ncommunication.<\/p>\n

There will be 3 participants and at each station; deaf client, interpreter,
\nand the professional. Each station will take 15 minutes then rotate.
\nInterpreters can participate in practice their skills, make mistakes, ask
\nquestions, and receive feedback in a safe environment.<\/p>\n
