Obituary: Edna Lanita Ugarte<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Memory of Edna Lanita Ugarte<\/p>\n

March 13, 1942 – August 26, 2011<\/p>\n

Edna Lanita, an 85 year resident of Dallas peacefully passed away in Sherman
\nat age 90 on August 26, 2011. She is now in a wonderful place with her
\nhusband, parents, brother, and friends who went before her.<\/p>\n

Lanita attended the Texas School for the Deaf as a child. As an adult, in
\naddition to being a devoted daughter, wife, mother, “Granny”, and friend to
\nmany, she was a long time member of the Dallas Association of the Deaf and
\nserved as term as President of the Women’s Auxukuart Fraternity. Lanita was
\nloving, caring woman with a bign warm smile for everyone at all times.<\/p>\n

Lanita was preceded in death by husband E.R. Ugarte, parents of Scott and
\nEdna Ferrell, and brother Scott, Jr. She is survuved by son Rick Ugarte and
\nwife Gail, daughter Sonia and husband Lew Ganter, 6 grandchildren, 10 great
\ngrandchildren, and sister-inlaw Anita Della.<\/p>\n

A family memorial service was celebrated Lanita’s life at Grove Hill Funeral
\nHome in Dallas on Saturday morning, September 3, 2011.<\/p>\n
