Less than two weeks after the September 11 attacks, New Yorkers are still in
\nshock. One of them, an editor named Joan, receives an unexpected phone call
\nfrom Nick, a fire captain who has lost most of his men in the attack. Nick
\nneeds a writer to help him with the eulogies he will present at the memorial
\nservices. Nick and Joan spend a long afternoon recalling the fallen men by
\nrecounting their virtues and foibles and fashioning the stories into
\npoignant tributes. As they make their way through the emotional landscape of
\ngrief, they draw upon humor, pathos and the enduring bonds of humanity.<\/p>\n

Based on a true story, \u201cThe Guys\u201d is a courageous, often funny, riveting
\nplay that deals with the horror of 9\/11 with an intimacy that is both
\nunsettling and healing. In observance of the 10th Anniversary of 9\/11, this
\nis an encore of the first production presented at LSC-CyFair in 2003.<\/p>\n
