\nPREPARING ASL STUDENTS FOR CAREER IN INTERPRETING
\nA three-hour workshop presented by SHELLEY HARDELL, Instructor, Tarrant
\nCounty College.
\nMs Hardell will discuss ways of providing ASL students with a foundation for
\nsuccess in a college interpreter training program.
\n(Certificate of participation given at the end of the day)<\/p>\n

11:30 \u2013 12:30 p.m.
\nLUNCH BREAK
\nWill be on your own or brown-bag-it. (University cafeteria is close by and
\na few fast food restaurants across the street)<\/p>\n

\nMEMBER PRESENTATIONS
\nTen minute member presentations on any topic from ASL teaching to assessment
\nideas followed by five minute Q\/A. ASLTA DFW members may submit a topic and
\ntwo-three sentences describing their presentation idea. Five presentation
\ntopics will be selected. Deadline for submission: November 5
\nCertificate of Member Presentation will be given. What a great addition to
\nyour teaching resume and impress your boss!<\/p>\n

\nTOPIC: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
\nFocuses on productive discussions regarding selected classroom management
\ntopics.<\/p>\n

TOPIC: ASL CLUB ACTIVITIES
\nFocuses on questions and suggestions regarding ASL Club activities.<\/p>\n

\nNon-members = $20.00 (includes new membership)
\nPayment can be made by cash or a check (made payable to \u201cDFW-ASLTA\u201d) during
