The course also gives individuals who are deaf,<br \/>\nhard of hearing and deaf-blind a better understanding of the roles and<br \/>\nresponsibilities of emergency responders during emergencies and disasters.<br \/>\nFor more information about the course, go to<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cepintdi.org\/course-offerings\/awr-186\" target=\"_blank\"> http:\/\/www.cepintdi.org\/course-offerings\/awr-186<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The course, &#8220;AWR 186 Emergency Responders and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing<br \/>\nCommunity,&#8221; is designed to provide deaf and hard of hearing (including deaf,<br \/>\ndeaf-blind, hard of hearing, late-deafened and other individuals with<br \/>\nhearing loss) and emergency responders with the basic skills they need to<br \/>\ncommunicate with each other in the event of emergencies such as terrorist<br \/>\nattacks and natural and biological disasters. The course will also instruct<br \/>\nparticipants how to respond to a variety of emergency situations.
