\nTo tutor ASL and Interpreting students as well as assist faculty within the
\nDepartment of ASL and Interpreter Training.<\/p>\n
\nDepartment Chair of ASL and Interpreter Training & Senior ASL Lab Assistant.<\/p>\n
\nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties
\nmay be assigned.<\/p>\n
\n* Maintains the lab by organizing, cleaning, and preparing materials,
\nsupplies, equipment, and\/or facility.
\n* Performs clerical duties including operating a computer, maintaining
\nrecords and files, and compiling data and reports as required.
\n* Maintains inventory, initiates purchase requisitions, and monitors
\nexpenditures; may prepare cost estimates and\/or submit justifications and
\nrequest for items.
\n* Operates, installs, and maintains equipment.
\n* May set up, configure and\/or calibrate new equipment; may perform routine
\nmaintenance and repair.
\n* May assist students, or monitor and assist students, faculty, and staff in
\nthe use of equipment or facilities.
\n* Communicates and collaborates with faculty on tutoring services, class
\nprojects and exams.
\n* Trains, mentors and supervises hourly lab tutors.
\n* Assists with review of lab services and developing ways in which they can
\nbe improved.<\/p>\n
\nMust possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with

\nOne year work experience in related field.<\/p>\n
\nThree years work experience as a tutor.<\/p>\n
\nHigh school diploma and twelve college level credit hours in related field
\nor equivalent combination of education, training and experience<\/p>\n
\nDegree or coursework in an ASL related field.<\/p>\n
