Fall 2011 issue of The Deaf Texan – Complimentary Edition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Larry Evans, president of the Texas Association of the Deaf would like for
\nthe current issue (Fall2011) of The Deaf Texan (TDT) to be made available to
\nthe readership of The Deaf Network of Texas by offering a complimentary
\nE-copy of TDT. As part of a membership drive, readers may wish to become
\nmembers of the TAD by going to page 19 of the issue to copy and fill out the
\nmembership application on that page. Mail the completed application and
\ncheck to the address indicated on the form.<\/p>\n

Membership renewals in the past were generally done from conference to
\nconference. New TAD bylaws now permit membership to be renewed at any time
\nduring the year and may renew two years after that date. An additional
\nhelpful feature is that once enrolled as a member under this system, members
\nwill be automatically reminded by email 30 days prior to membership
\nexpiration.<\/p>\n

As the editor of The Deaf Texan, I urge all interested persons to join the
\nTAD to support efforts to advocate for members and supporters of the deaf
\ncommunity. It is critically important to keep all of its members up to date
\nwith the latest news and features about events, issues, and people. Our
\ngoal is to maximize the rights and welfare of the deaf community.<\/p>\n
