Jubilee Theatre Presents A Show For Deaf and Hard of Hearing – DFW<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE JUBILEE THEATRE LIGHTS UP THE NEW YEAR WITH \u201cPRETTY FIRE\u201d
\nAND PAIRS UP WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS<\/p>\n

Beginning January 27th the Jubilee Theatre\u2019s stage will be filled with
\nmusic, laughter, haunting memories, and the pure joy of innocence as
\nthe story of \u201cPretty Fire\u201d comes to life.<\/p>\n

Fort Worth, TX \u2013 January 12, 2012 – The Jubilee Theatre opens the New
\nYear with the national award winning play, Pretty Fire by Charlayne
\nWoodard. Newly appointed artistic director, Tre Garrett, brings this
\ncoming of age story to the stage Friday, January 27 through February
\n26th, 2012. Opening night is scheduled for Friday, February 3rd and
\nFort Worth City Council member and candidate for US House of
\nRepresentatives Kathleen Hicks is expected to introduce the play that
\nevening. Tickets for opening night are on sale now at
\nwww.jubileetheatre.org or 817-338-4411.<\/p>\n

Composed of autobiographical vignettes, the play offers audiences an
\nintimate view of a young lady\u2019s journey to find her voice. As the story
\nexplores themes of family, faith, love and self-awareness, every
\naudience member is sure to recognize common threads from among their
\nown memories and challenges of growing up.<\/p>\n

\u201cPretty Fire is a beautiful coming of age story filled with laughter,
\nlove and music,\u201d says Garrett. \u201cAfter each performance, my hope is
\nthat the audience will leave feeling rejuvenated by its honesty. I
\nwant young girls to feel inspired by their own potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jubilee Theatre is encouraging mothers and daughters, aunts and nieces,
\nmentors and their mentees to pair up and experience the show together.
\nWorking with civic and social women\u2019s groups throughout the area, the
\ntheatre is hoping to create opportunities for young women to see the
\nshow, network and socialize with prominent women from the Fort Worth
\nmetroplex and beyond.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis show is all about giving confidence and a voice to all the young
\nladies of our community,\u201d continues Garrett.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jubilee will also grant unique opportunities for audience members
\nto \u201ctalk back\u201d with the director and cast after the show.
\nAdditionally, the Jubilee is expanding its outreach by presenting a
\nspecial show during the run that is interpreted for the hearing
\nimpaired.<\/p>\n

\u201cPretty Fire is full of heart for the whole family and dedicated to the
\nyoung ladies of our community,\u201d states Garrett.<\/p>\n

\nStreet in downtown Fort Worth, Tuesday \u2013 Friday from 12pm – 6pm or
