Newly appointed artistic director, Tre Garrett, brings this<br \/>\ncoming of age story to the stage Friday, January 27 through February<br \/>\n26th, 2012. Opening night is scheduled for Friday, February 3rd and<br \/>\nFort Worth City Council member and candidate for US House of<br \/>\nRepresentatives Kathleen Hicks is expected to introduce the play that<br \/>\nevening. Tickets for opening night are on sale now at<br \/>\nwww.jubileetheatre.org or 817-338-4411.<\/p>\n<p>Composed of autobiographical vignettes, the play offers audiences an<br \/>\nintimate view of a young lady\u2019s journey to find her voice. As the story<br \/>\nexplores themes of family, faith, love and self-awareness, every<br \/>\naudience member is sure to recognize common threads from among their<br \/>\nown memories and challenges of growing up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPretty Fire is a beautiful coming of age story filled with laughter,<br \/>\nlove and music,\u201d says Garrett. \u201cAfter each performance, my hope is<br \/>\nthat the audience will leave feeling rejuvenated by its honesty. I<br \/>\nwant young girls to feel inspired by their own potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jubilee Theatre is encouraging mothers and daughters, aunts and nieces,<br \/>\nmentors and their mentees to pair up and experience the show together.<br \/>\nWorking with civic and social women\u2019s groups throughout the area, the<br \/>\ntheatre is hoping to create opportunities for young women to see the<br \/>\nshow, network and socialize with prominent women from the Fort Worth<br \/>\nmetroplex and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis show is all about giving confidence and a voice to all the young<br \/>\nladies of our community,\u201d continues Garrett.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Jubilee will also grant unique opportunities for audience members<br \/>\nto \u201ctalk back\u201d with the director and cast after the show.<br \/>\nAdditionally, the Jubilee is expanding its outreach by presenting a<br \/>\nspecial show during the run that is interpreted for the hearing<br \/>\nimpaired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPretty Fire is full of heart for the whole family and dedicated to the<br \/>\nyoung ladies of our community,\u201d states Garrett.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets can be purchased at the theatre box office located at 506 Main<br \/>\nStreet in downtown Fort Worth, Tuesday \u2013 Friday from 12pm &#8211; 6pm or<br \/>\nonline at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jubileetheatre.org\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.jubileetheatre.org<\/a> .
