Description<\/p>\n

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
\nProvide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Participate in professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to increase professional growth and improve student\/teacher learning.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n

Education\/Certification:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree from accredited university
\nValid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject\/grade level assigned
\nMeet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Highly Qualified Teacher requirements for subject\/grade level assigned<\/p>\n

Special Knowledge\/Skills:
\nKnowledge of subjects assigned
\nGeneral knowledge of curriculum and instruction
\nAbility to instruct students and manage their behavior
\nStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n

Experience:
\nAt least one year of student teaching or approved internship<\/p>\n

WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/p>\n

Mental Demands:
\nMaintain emotional control under stress<\/p>\n

Physical Demands:
\nFrequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.<\/p>\n
