Full-Time and Part-Time Staff Position Openings at Lamar University<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lamar University in Beaumont, TX has position openings for one
\nFull-Time staff and two Part-Time staff positions. LU has one of the
\nlargest Deaf Studies\/Deaf Education programs in the country, which
\nattracts a large number of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, seeking
\ndegrees.<\/p>\n

\nBase Pay: $34,812<\/p>\n

Under the general supervision of the Coordinator of Communication
\nAccess Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CADH), provide
\npart-time (25 hours per week) sign language interpreting services for
\nDeaf\/hard of hearing faculty\/staff\/students\/ visitors. Sign language
\ninterpreting services include, but are not limited to interpreting for
\nlectures, lab seminars, meetings and exams as well as university hosted
\nactivities such as convocations, commencements, orientations and
\nlecture series.<\/p>\n

Work effectively in teams with other sign language interpreters.<\/p>\n

Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct.<\/p>\n

Other Duties:<\/p>\n

Participate in planning and implementing skills building work
\nsessions\/workshops.<\/p>\n

Provide feedback\/mentoring for peer interpreters.<\/p>\n

Provide feedback\/mentoring for intern\/practicum students.<\/p>\n

Assist CADH Coordinator with scheduling, documentation, data entry as
