Schafer, Ph.D. and Lana Ward, Au.D. are conducting a new study<br \/>\nto examine speech recognition and subjective benefit with a specialized<br \/>\nCROS or Bi-CROS hearing aid. As a participant of the study, you will be<br \/>\nfit with a wireless instrument for people with one-sided hearing. Even<br \/>\nif you have a hearing loss in your better hearing ear, there may be a<br \/>\nsolution for you!<\/p>\n<p>Who may participate?<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for participants who qualify for one of the following<br \/>\ngroups:<\/p>\n<p>Group 1 \u2013 CROS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adults or adolescents (&gt; 14 years)<br \/>\n\u2022 Severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss in one ear with normal<br \/>\nhearing in the opposite ear<\/p>\n<p>Group 2 \u2013 Bi-CROS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adults or adolescents (&gt; 14 years)<br \/>\n\u2022 Severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss in one ear with a<br \/>\nlesser degree of hearing loss in the opposite ear<\/p>\n<p>Please call or e-mail if you have any questions about the study or if<br \/>\nyou would like to participate. To see if you qualify, you may be<br \/>\nrequired to complete a complimentary hearing evaluation.
